Real-time race physics
Every meter is simulated on the server from powertrain curves, weight distribution, tire grip, aero drag and downforce. Better tuning beats a bigger wallet.
Free persistent browser-based racing RPG
Build a garage, tune real powertrains and win 1v1 duels in a persistent racing world that runs in your browser. No download, no pay-to-win, and a player-driven economy where every part, share and city is fought over by real players.
What is SR2?
Street Racers 2 is a multiplayer racing game you play entirely in the browser. It is a rebuilt successor to the 2008 browser classic Street Racers, with a new server-authoritative physics engine and a living economy.
Think of it as part racing manager, part trading game, part crew strategy MMO. It is a no-download, asynchronous racing manager: you make the decisions on your own schedule, the server simulates every race, and the world keeps moving while you are away.
If you enjoy text-based and tick-based browser MMOs, incremental progression and economies run by players rather than NPCs, SR2 was built for you.

Gameplay
Every meter is simulated on the server from powertrain curves, weight distribution, tire grip, aero drag and downforce. Better tuning beats a bigger wallet.
Challenge other players head to head. Wins pay out gold, and every race wears your parts, so maintenance and strategy matter as much as top speed.
Merge identical parts to push them up a tier, gamble on the odds, and restore retired parts with a Master Rebuild while keeping their Forcing levels.
Huge top speed on the straights. Push past the chassis limit and you get Overpower, which lowers your safe cornering speed.
Instant torque off the line, limited by how fast the battery can discharge. Brutal in short sprints.
Electric torque at low RPM and combustion power on the straights. The best of both if you tune it right.
Neo Tokyo, Detroit, Stuttgart, Modena, Shanghai and Coventry each have their own markets and dealerships. Buy low in one city, sell high in another.
Trade shares in four car makers. Most revenue flows back into R&D, and shareholders collect weekly gold dividends.
Pool gold in a shared crew vault and fight 15-day seasons for city control. Ruling a city earns a fee on every player market trade there.
New to SR2?
The 2008 original had a loyal community, but nobody brought their old garage with them. Every racer, new or returning, starts the same fresh career.
Ask for a veteran code on our Discord. It is a welcome-back gift, not a head start: new and returning racers compete on the same ladder.
Nothing to download. Works in any modern browser on desktop or phone.
