Cities

Six megacities, one living world

Street Racers 2 is played across six cities joined by roads. Where you are decides what you can buy, which tracks you race and which crew collects the tax.

Travelling between cities

Nine two-way roads join the six cities, and you can only drive one road at a time. Not every pair of cities is connected: there is no direct road from Neo Tokyo to Stuttgart, so that trip goes through Detroit. Every road costs 1 Energy and takes a little while to drive, and you cannot race until you arrive.

Two tracks in every city

Each city has a closed loop of 3.5 to 6.0 km and a point-to-point sprint of 4.0 to 8.0 km. Every track is rated as a power, flowing or technical track, and a city's two tracks never share a rating, so each city asks something different of your build. The physics guide explains what each rating rewards.

What changes from city to city

  • Dealership stock: each car and part is on sale in one city at a time, and a city never stocks two cars of the same class at once.
  • Player market: you can see listings everywhere, but you can only buy in the city you are in. Buy low in one city, sell high in another.
  • Daily tournaments: a new sanctioned tournament opens each day at 00:00 UTC in the next city on the rotation.
  • Crew turf: crews win control of a city through duel wins there and collect 1% of its market sales until the next turf reset.
  • Police attention: underground tournaments raise the heat in the city where they run, and the higher it climbs, the likelier a raid.
